Ziółko Burdock Root is a dried root of burdock (Arctium), a tall plant from the Asteraceae family. The root is harvested from the underground part of the plant, where it accumulates its most valuable compounds, including natural inulin.

Burdock root was once a popular root vegetable - both in Poland and in Japan, where it is still enjoyed today under the name gobo. The dried root has a mildly sweet taste and characteristic earthy aroma, prized in home-brewed herbal infusions. Grown in Poland.

Purpose

For those who enjoy earthy, root-based herbal infusions and traditional, lesser-known herbs from Polish and Japanese culinary heritage.

How to use

Add 1-2 teaspoons of dried root to a glass (250 ml) of boiling water, simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes, then leave covered for 10-15 minutes and strain. Can be enjoyed 2-3 times daily.

Store in a dry, cool place in a tightly sealed container, protected from light, moisture, and strong odours.
