Mito-Pharma Vitamin B12 MSE capsules provide vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin (250 µg) together with folate in its active 5-MTHF (400 µg) form. The formula is completed with vitamin B6 and biotin. Vitamin B12, B6 and folate contribute to normal homocysteine metabolism, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to normal functioning of the nervous system. The formula is vegan, in a plant-based capsule.

Despite its name suggesting a single vitamin, the formula combines four B-group nutrients: vitamin B12, folate, vitamin B6 and biotin. These four work through interconnected metabolic pathways in the body - hence combining them in one capsule.

Vitamin B12 is included here as methylcobalamin, and folate as the glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid, or 5-MTHF. These are the forms in which the compounds occur in the body, unlike cyanocobalamin and synthetic folic acid, which require conversion. The formula was developed by the German MSE laboratory of Dr. Franz Enzmann, manufactured in Germany to GMP standard.

Ingredients

Maltodextrin, bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose, glazing agent: hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6), glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid (folic acid), D-biotin (biotin), methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), anti-caking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide.

The formula does not contain gluten, soy, preservatives, flavourings or colourings.

Suggested use

1 Capsule daily. Best taken with a meal, with an adequate amount of water.
